A Glimpse of Shuntla's History

Image
I started Shuntla shortly after my firstborn in 2007. My mother's DIY upbringing has made a huge impact on my life. Almost everything that comes through my door I have to do something to it whether it's paint, sew, glue or just tear up. If I can make it, I won't buy it. (Almost to a default) I may be jack of all trades but master of none. As years go by and different people enter my life, my market changes. It's been mostly jewelry lately but that wasn't always the case! As style and people change I'm ready to dive into more things once again. Here is just a glimpse of Shuntla's past (some in the form of terrible pictures) not including graphic/web design). I couldn't possibly list everything but here is some! Anything worth digging out again? Oilcloth aprons  Reusable snack bags Crayon rolls Vendor/teacher apron Boo boo bags (w lavender freeze/microwaveable) Upcycled dresses from favorite t-shirts A

Hope For Arkansas

My heart is broken for the state I grew up in. As a registered Red Cross volunteer I'd be there in a heartbeat, but had to deny requests as I can't physically help at this time. Prayers to all. Text Red Cross 90999 to donate $10. You can choose to do as many times are you want.  Via: gofunds Family lost both children and are in critical condition themselves.  Family who lost home in tornado NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR Daniel and April Smith, residence of Vilonia, Arkansas lost their home in the tornado last night. They are both in critical condition in the hospital.  My boss, Eric Hancock, is friends with the family and together we are asking for help for their medical bills as well as other things they may accrue.  All donations will be given directly to the family. Thank you for your donations. To Donate for Smiths: http://www.gofundme.com/8p404k

Shuntla Dollar Store Finds "Eat Well"

You would be amazed the things you can find at your local dollar store. Some are worth it, some are definitely not. I check back every so often for new items and  share all my finds with my friends.  Lately I am into the "dinnerware" items and will show you guys which ones and why! 1. Wine Tumbler: Not much has to be explained why this is an awesome find, except that it will go fast so hurry!  Pros-glass is sturdy and strong, clear for customization Cons-lid is a bit on the cheap side 2. Clear Plastic Tumblers: I bought these for a birthday party as they are great for guests (both children and adults) and they will obviously go with any theme. But oddly enough I'm using them a lot more  in our every day life. I keep some on our bar cart as they are highly practically for throwing snacks and crafts in.  Pros-multi-purpose, 10 for $1, kid safe, reusable Cons-add them to America's plastic waste 3. Plastic Leopard Placemats: They carry Diffe
