Shuntla Dollar Store Finds "Eat Well"

You would be amazed the things you can find at your local dollar store. Some are worth it, some are definitely not. I check back every so often for new items and  share all my finds with my friends.  Lately I am into the "dinnerware" items and will show you guys which ones and why!

1. Wine Tumbler: Not much has to be explained why this is an awesome find, except that it will go fast so hurry!  Pros-glass is sturdy and strong, clear for customization Cons-lid is a bit on the cheap side

2. Clear Plastic Tumblers: I bought these for a birthday party as they are great for guests (both children and adults) and they will obviously go with any theme. But oddly enough I'm using them a lot more  in our every day life. I keep some on our bar cart as they are highly practically for throwing snacks and crafts in.  Pros-multi-purpose, 10 for $1, kid safe, reusable Cons-add them to America's plastic waste

3. Plastic Leopard Placemats: They carry Different patterns (if you go for the teddy bear ivy style) I use these mats for their purpose-A placemat... We use on bar for messy food and crafts and it's easy clean up. Also makes a good cutting board if you don't use too sharp of a knife. (It may cut up placemat and get in food) But what I love to do is cut them up! I line trays with them, including high chair trays. Adds a hint of leopard plus easy clean up. They are extremely easy to cut! You could do letters, flowers,  shapes, etc. or in my case Barbie walls. Pros-multi-purpose, great craft alternative Cons-no rubber or suction on bottom so if you have a little tyke, beware of them sliding off table  with food on top!

Sturdy enough to stand up

4. Black Paper Napkins: If you need a break on being green with cloth napkins, dollar store napkins are a good cheat. They have many colors and sizes. Pros: Customizable for parties, disposable Cons-more paper waste
5. Just Like Pottery Barn Dishes: This is an awesome find, if not the best! These dishes are incredibly close to Pottery Barn's "Emma" Dinnerware but they are ONE DOLLAR! They carry dinner plates and mugs. Depending on your Dollar Tree the bowls may be different. I have seen the standard cereal bowl as well as the wide pasta bowl. I love them all! Pros: Huge bang for your buck, dishwasher/microwave safe (they don't say otherwise but I've had mine over a year and are still in original form) Cons: Not sure how long Dollar Tree will carry them , hurry!

6.  Gold Paper Plates: The dark pretty gold can be hard to find in party supplies, much less for a dollar. They also have many colors and sizes. Pros: Pretty gold, disposable Cons: more  paper waste
7. Kid Proof Mason Jar Tumbler: I love these canning jar cups! Glass ones are not practical for the tykes. The Dollar Tree carries them in plastic! They are good thick plastic and have the straws with stopper so they don't fall out Pros: Kid practical, cute, smooth on one side for customization Cons: doesn't fit cup holders, going fast! Hurry!

8. Gold Paper Napkins: (repeat of #4) If you need a break on being green with cloth napkins, dollar store napkins are a good cheat. They have many colors and sizes. Pros: Customizable for parties, disposable Cons-more paper waste

Hope You Like My Finds As Much as I do!
